The first green leaves, the blossom, – that’s all very exciting. A reward, maybe, for the horse menure we put on. But it’s also a time when, suddenly, “the ‘gamble’ is on”: Freezing temperatures destroyed some of the harvest in 2011, in 2012 the big worry comes from fungus infections.
And – as for green: whether it’s the weeds that make our vineyard look so green (we take them out manually), or whether it’s the sowed plants (video to follow), – opinions differ depending on which one of our observing neighbours you ask.
